Laguna Beach Wedding Photographer
Some Laguna Beach weddings begin with the ocean outside your hotel window and end with everyone walking to dinner through downtown. I'm Kaitlin Mace, a film and digital wedding photographer based in Orange County, and those are the days I love to document: honest, unhurried, and full of the people who matter most.
You'll be guided when you need it and left alone when you don't.
Weddings with a sense of place
Laguna has a way of making even a small wedding feel complete. At Ella and Jordan's Italian-inspired micro wedding, the day began at Surf & Sand, moved to the tiny St. Francis by the Sea chapel, and ended with dinner at Tango. Guests walked there together, carrying the feeling of the ceremony down the street.
I'd love to hear what you're planning, whether that's a chapel ceremony, a small dinner, a coastal elopement, or a full wedding weekend.
“I’ll remember not only how beautiful everything looked, but how cared for we felt.”

Laguna Beach on 35mm film
Film suits this place. Its grain and soft window light can make a small chapel feel like a page from a family album. Film is included in every collection alongside digital, so you never have to choose. Digital keeps up with the day, while film slows it down.

Laguna Beach Wedding Questions
-
Yes. The city requires a wedding permit for ceremonies on its beaches and in its parks. Permits cover two consecutive hours, so your setup, ceremony, photos, and cleanup all need to fit within that window.
-
No. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, beach weddings are limited to Diver's Cove, Picnic Beach, Rockpile Beach, and North Main Beach. Some places, including Treasure Island and Goff Cove, do not allow weddings at all.
-
No. City permits do not allow tables, chairs, archways, or other structures, apart from medical exceptions for seating. Alcohol, amplified sound, and flower petals are also not allowed. If you want a fuller setup, a private venue may be a better fit.
-
The city recommends low tide and does not issue permits around high tide or after sunset. Check the tide before you choose a time, and we'll plan your photos around it.
-
Yes. I photograph weddings of every size, and intimate days have a way of staying with me. When there are fewer people in the room, there's more space for each of them.
